Kerasina Bekouli, research assistant from Harokopio University of Athens (HUA), has started her secondment, at Imperial College in London, UK hosted by Professor Evina Katsou.
Her secondment started on March 7th, 2026, and will run until May 29th, 2026. During her secondment, she will contribute to the ACCELERATE project, focusing on the WP4. She looks forward to collaborating with the members of the ICL and gaining knowledge and experience
Anastasia Tsagkaraki and Sosanna Kapsokefalou, researchers from Harokopio University in Athens (HUA), are currently seconded to WaltR in Toulouse, France, for three (3) months. During their secondment, they are contributing to the ACCELERATE project, with a focus on Work Package 4 (WP4).
Throughout this period, they have already participated in couple meetings and engaged in active collaborations with members of WaltR, fostering knowledge exchange and strengthening their expertise. They also look forward to further collaboration while gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
Georgios-Nektarios Tselos, a research assistant from Harokopio University in Athens (HUA), is currently seconded to WaltR in Toulouse, France, for a period of four (4) months. During his secondment, he is contributing to the ACCELERATE project, with a focus on Work Package 4 (WP4). Throughout this period, he has already participated in several meetings and engaged in active collaborations with members of WaltR, fostering knowledge exchange and further strengthening his expertise. He also looks forward to continued collaboration while gaining valuable knowledge and experience
Maria Polychronaki, a member of the Harokopio University, is currently seconded to University of Bucharest, România, under the supervision of Ionuț Șandric. Her secondment began on December 10th, 2025, and will continue until April 9th, 2026. As part of the project, Maria is contributing to the activities of Work Package 4 (WP4). She is actively involved in Task 4.2, supporting the implementation of use cases related to the observation and management of cultural heritage under environmental and anthropogenic pressures. She also contributes to scientific dissemination activities.
Rafailia Adam, researcher at GeoSense, successfully completed her secondment at INNOVACTS in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 17–29 October 2025. During her stay, she collaborated closely with the INNOV-ACTS team, contributing to WP2 (Hardware Developments), focusing on Task 2.1: State-of-the-art analysis, and to WP3 (Software Development), with emphasis on Task 3.1: Definition of specifications & software architecture. This secondment enhanced her expertise in UAV system integration and data-processing workflows, while promoting interdisciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange among partners within the ACCELERATE consortium.
From September 13 to October 15, 2025, Mario Petkovski and Bruno Jevremovikj from Ag Futura Technologies took part in a secondment at the University of Bucharest, hosted under the ACCELERATE MSCA Project. During their stay, they worked closely with Professor Ionut Sandric, strengthening collaboration in the field of UAV Services and exploring innovative approaches to drone-based applications as part of activities in Work Package 4: Case studies Implementation.
Bruno Gambinhas, a PhD researcher at ERA Arqueologia, undertook a secondment at the University of Exeter from 1 to 30 October 2025. Under the supervision of Prof. Ioana Oltean, the secondment focused on compiling a bibliographic corpus on UAV applications in Cultural Heritage, advancing a multi-sensor mapping case study at Renieblas, and contributing to WP4/Use Case 4 on UAV-based monitoring of archaeological landscapes.
Also, Elisavet Mamagiannou, completed her secondment at TOPVIEW from 5–22 September 2025. She contributed to WP2 (Hardware Developments), focusing on Satellite IoT communications for UAV telemetry and control, and collaborated with Alberto Mennella, Maria-Elena Mennella, Vinka Maruna, Vincenzo Maria Ascione, Graziano Gagliarde, Lorenzo Porricelli, Annamaria Tortora, and Mariano Iadaresta. During her stay, she gained hands-on experience with GNSS/ LTE/ 5G/ FLARM communication technologies, UAV regulatory compliance tools, and UAV traffic management platforms.
Dr. Dimitris Zbainos, researcher at Harokopio University of Athens, recently completed his research secondment at Agfutura as part of the ACCELERATE project. His secondment took place from July 28 to August 14 2025 , fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange on innovative approaches to digital transformation and sustainable education.
João Fonte, a researcher at ERA Arqueologia, undertook a secondment at the University of Exeter from 9 to 19 June 2025. Working in collaboration with Ioana Oltean, the secondment focused on in-depth case study discussions, the processing of legacy drone-derived LiDAR data (in collaboration with Duke University, USA), and the preparation of preliminary research outputs, all contributing to the strengthening of international cooperation within the project
Elisavet Mamagiannou, researcher at GeoSense, completed her secondment at WaltR from 5–21 June 2025. She collaborated with Sandra Salgado, Yohan Robert, and Javier Andrey on UAV sensor integration, environmental impact assessment, and methodological planning for Use Case 2 (agriculture properties monitoring) and Use Case 3 (air quality monitoring).
Within the ACCELERATE MSCA PROJECT project, João Fonte, a researcher with ERA Arqueologia SA,
undertook a secondment at the University of Exeter, UK, from March 3rd to March 15th, 2025.
Working with Ioana Oltean, João Fonte focused on in-depth case-study discussions and the development of preliminary research outputs, fostering international collaboration within the project.

Petros Masouridis, project manager and head of business development Europe for WaltR, started his secondment in HUA in Greece in the framework of ACCELARATE project.
Petro’s secondment started on April 2nd, and it will last until June 2nd 2025. Hosted by Prof. George P. Petropoulos Petropoulos and the HUA team, petros will work together with HUA and other partners to advance the projects objectives and share expertise and knowledge.
Within the context of ACCELERATE MSCA PROJECT, this secondment represents an exciting opportunity to utilise international collaboration towards innovation, as well as to assess the impact of UAVs
solutions in our 4 distinct use cases.
